The Head of State held talks with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze

Welcoming Irakli Kobakhidze, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated him on his reappointment as Prime Minister and wished him further success in his responsible work for the prosperity of the Georgian people.

The Head of State noted Georgia’s dynamic progress in recent years, highlighting the significant results of ongoing reforms and the impressive 9.4% economic growth.

The President highly praised the comprehensive development of Kazakh-Georgian relations. According to him, Georgia is a reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the Caucasus region, with which the country shares strong bonds of friendship and close historical ties.

– Kazakhstan and Georgia interact effectively at various levels, including cooperation between parliaments, governments, and state agencies, – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted.

In turn, Irakli Kobakhidze expressed his gratitude to the Head of State for the warm welcome and emphasized that Kazakhstan was one of the first countries he visited after taking office.

The Prime Minister stated that Georgia remains firmly committed to the fruitful development of multifaceted relations with Kazakhstan.

– Strengthening political and economic cooperation is of great importance to us. We are ready to actively support Kazakhstan’s interests in various formats, including multilateral platforms,– he said.

The Georgian Prime Minister invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to visit Georgia.

They paid special attention to increasing cargo volumes along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and modernizing the corridor’s transit infrastructure.

During the meeting, they also discussed prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of areas, including trade, energy, investment, tourism, artificial intelligence, and digitalization, as well as pressing issues on the international agenda and regional security.
