The Ambassadors of the Kingdom of the Netherlands - Andre Carstens, Hungary – Antal Heizer, the Greek Republic – Adam Georgios Adamidis, the Arab Republic of Egypt – Manal Yehia El Shinnawi, the State of Qatar – Abdulaziz bin Sultan Jasem Majid Al-Rumaihi presented their credentials to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the ambassadors on the official beginning of their diplomatic service in Kazakhstan and wished them success in their noble mission.
During the ceremony, the Head of State held a brief conversation with foreign diplomats.
Addressing the Ambassador of the Netherlands, the President noted that his country is one of the top strategic partners of Kazakhstan in Europe.
“Our country has very good relations with the shell oil company and other large companies. I think this cooperation will continue in the future. We highly appreciate the Netherlands’ desire for closer cooperation with Kazakhstan. Your country has a huge investment potential,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
During the meeting with Antal Heizer, the President noted that Kazakhstan considers Hungary as a major partner in Central Europe and an important partner in the European Union. He welcomed the decision of the Hungarian government to open the office of the Turkic Council in Budapest, calling it the embodiment of historical justice.
“We are strengthening humanitarian ties. Here we are talking about such an interesting component as the presence of the Kipchak population. As for the economy, we have taken a very good pace, the governments of our countries show a sincere desire to be together," the Head of State noted.
In conversation with the Greece Ambassador Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the development of cooperation with his country is extremely important for Kazakhstan.
"We are very much interested in having close cooperation with Greece, and I hope that as Ambassador you will be facilitating this kind of cooperation and ties between the peoples of our countries,” the President added.
Receiving the Egypt Ambassador, the Head of State recalled the productive visit of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to Kazakhstan in 2016 and conveyed to him his best regards.
“Our countries have achieved great positive results in the bilateral relations. We have been taking common positions on many international issues,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
At the meeting with Qatar Ambassador the President told about the fruitful meeting with H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani on the sidelines of the CICA Summit in Dushanbe in June 2019 and expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation with Qatar.
“We welcome the decision of Qatar Airways to launch flights between Nur-Sultan and Doha. The Government of Kazakhstan and I as the Head of State will make our utmost to make sure that our cooperation will be quite successful,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed.
